The NPI number of a provider is required by all insurance companies to process a professional reimbursement claim.
Did you try looking up your provider in the app with their NPI number? If a provider search in the app does not find your provider and there is no NPI on your receipt, then you should contact your provider directly.
From time to time, we see providers who do not have one and we are always pleased to provide support to help to get one. NPI numbers are free to acquire and the process is completely online and fairly simple. If you would share the name and location of your provider, we'd be happy to reach out to them. Most are happy to enable the ability for any of their patients to file to be reimbursed.
